Stonite™ Quartz is known for its care free characteristic. Simply wipe off any grease, hairspray, or makeup spills. To keep the surface clean, use a damp cloth and wipe with soap and warm water. For additional information please refer to our Care and Maintenance section.
How should I remove stubborn stains or dried spills?
To remove any spills use a damp cloth and carefully take warm water combined with soap and apply to the soiled area. For tougher stains, apply a non abrasive cleanser. If food or gum need to be removed; first scrape the soiled area using a plastic putty knife, then apply a damp cloth to remove any remaining debris. How durable is Stonite™ Quartz?
Stonite™ Quartz produces the most durable engineered quartz stone surface. Quartz ranks number 7.0 on MOH’s Hardness scale, which is used to measure the scratch-resistance of a material. It is resistant to cracks, chips, scratches and stains. Although it is very durable, excessive amounts of stress from objects can harm the surface.
Do I need to apply a sealer to Stonite™ Quartz?
No. Stonite™ retains its natural beauty without sealants creating nearly maintenance free surface for any interior space.
Can I cut on my Stonite™ Quartz countertop?
Stonite™ Quartz is a mixture of 93% quartz and 7% polyester resin which is pressed into slabs by a special vacuum and vibration process. Due to this mixture it has superior strength and beauty. Although your knives will not ruin Stonite™ Quartz, using a cutting board is suggested to avoid dulling your knives.
How do I maintain the polish on my Stonite™ Quartz countertop?
Due to its high density and non-porous attributes, normal cleaning with a damp cloth and mild detergent will keep your surface looking new. To avoid dulling the surface’s shine, use a non-abrasive cleaner, and thoroughly rinse off with water after each use.
How does Stonite™ Quartz withstand heat?
Stonite™ Quartz is heat resistant, however, any stone material can be damaged by sudden temperature changes. Using a hot pad or trivet is recommended. Hot pots, pans and appliances should be placed directly on any stone surfaces.
Are there any chemicals or cleaners to avoid using?
Avoid chemicals with high alkaline or PH level. Materials that might contain this include: oven grill cleaners, floor strippers, toilet bowl cleaners, oil soaps, tarnish removers, furniture cleaners and drain products.
Can Stonite™ Quartz be used outdoors?
Please note the usage of our products outdoors is not covered by our 10-Year Warranty. Stonite™ Quartz has not been tested in prolonged UV ray exposure settings.
